What a schoolboy error!!

Carrying my equipment bag and tripod isn't too easy but generally speaking there's a result at the end of a hike. Finding the red warning flag flying and the gate locked was a shock. I would normally check the ranges website for opening details but just plain forgot to do so this time. Anyway, as a result in this change of plan, I was able to take some images of Lulworth Cove instead. Although this is a very popular tourist location I have found taking any great photographs very hard. The Cove itself is very wide and lends itself to the 'wider' and 'panoramic' image.

This time I decided to concentrate on taking a couple of black and white images of small parts of the foreshore. I came across two 'man made' compositions that had possibly been constructed the night before. My thoughts were should I take these images or not as they might be construed as 'set up'? This first image is of one such Cairn...

This image is of some driftwood standing in the surf...

And finally, one large boulder that had fallen from the cliff and made a great image. See more of this shoot in my Dorset and New work galleries. I will check the Mupe bay red flag warnings online again soon and make a visit!
