Fancy living on the rocks of Les Ecrehou??? ... No, nor me!

Coastal photography is something I really love doing. Normally I get to visit a location, ponder the options for a great composition, wait for the light/ clouds etc to be in the perfect position, before taking the image. Les Ecrehou are a set of rocks 6 miles from Jersey and 8 miles from France. They are... in the middle of no-where!!

I had just 45 mins to shoot as I couldn't land off the rib until low tide was complete at 5 am. As I moved around this very strange environment I had to keep a wary eye on what the tide was doing all the time. There are actually people living in these small buildings perched upon the highest rocks so they must really like their isolation! If you've not visited then I suggest going as its truly a surreal experience!!
